The Embassy of Denmark in Vietnam Sends a Letter of Appreciation to Pacific College (Cần Thơ city)

After outperforming numerous competitors in the Central and Southern Regional Finals, students from Pacific College (PIC), Cần Thơ city, achieved outstanding results, including earning a place in the WRO 2026 Open World Finals. The Embassy of Denmark in Vietnam also sent a letter of appreciation to Pacific College in recognition of its remarkable contributions to promoting STEM education among students.

On July 18 and 19, the Central and Southern Regional Finals of the Robotacon WRO 2026 competition were held at the gymnasium of The American School (TAS) in Hồ Chí Minh city, bringing together hundreds of students passionate about science, technology, and robotics from various provinces and cities.

This year's competition featured a large-scale format with 40 teams in Division B0, 17 teams in Division B1, and 27 teams in Division B2, creating an exciting and highly competitive atmosphere. Representing Pacific College, the participating teams demonstrated excellent programming skills, creative thinking, and teamwork while completing the challenges set by the organizers.

In Division B0 (Robo Beginner – "Ancient Artifacts"), the PIC Yêu Thương team won Third Prize overall. This achievement secured the team a place among the four regional representatives from Central and Southern Vietnam advancing to the WRO 2026 Open World Finals, scheduled to be held in October 2026 in Nanjing, China. In the same division, PIC Tôn Trọng received the Encouragement Award. Meanwhile, in Division B2 (Intermediate RoboMission – "Heritage Heroes"), PIC Nexus Prime and PIC RelicX successfully advanced through the regional round to qualify for the Robotacon WRO 2026 National Finals.

 

The PIC Yêu Thươnng team from Pacific College secured a place in the WRO 2026 Open World Finals in Nanjing, China.

According to the organizing committee, teams were evaluated based on robot design, programming capability, problem-solving skills, and teamwork.

PIC Nexus Prime and PIC RelicX qualified for the Robotacon WRO 2026 National Finals.

 

Mr. Nguyễn Thanh Thống, Director of the Pacific Education System, stated that the students' achievements were the result of months of dedicated learning, training, and preparation. The school will continue supporting the teams as they prepare for both the National Finals and the WRO Open World Finals in China.

 

Mr. Thống added that the achievements at Robotacon WRO 2026 reflect the school's long-term commitment to STEM education. Previously, Pacific College students won the championship title at the Global Robotics Games 2023 held in Singapore.

 

The Ambassador of Denmark to Vietnam recognized Pacific College's outstanding contributions to promoting STEM and robotics education for students.

Currently, STEM Robotics has been officially integrated into the school's curriculum as a formal academic program, aiming to develop students' critical thinking, problem-solving abilities, teamwork, and practical application of technology.

In the 2026–2027 academic year, Pacific College plans to open a new campus in Hưng Phú Residential Area, Cần Thơ city, while continuing to invest in specialized classrooms to expand learning spaces and enhance STEM Robotics experiences for students.
