Pacific College leaders join forces to advance Semiconductors and AI

Mr. Nguyen Thanh Thong, Director of Pacific College and Vice Chairman of Can Tho Young Entrepreneurs Association attended the press conference announcing the Vietnam innovation challenge 2024.

This program aims to establish an intellectual playground, connecting resources to develop the semiconductor and artificial intelligence (AI) industries, with the ambitious vision of conquering the global market.

Mr. Tran Duy Dong , Deputy Minister of Planning and Investment, emphasized the significance of the semiconductor industry and AI development amidst global economic competition. He indicated that the high-tech development strategy will facilitate businesses' research and innovation, contributing to Vietnam's modern economic growth.

Mr. Rafael Frankel, Meta’s Director of Public Policy for Southeast Asia, expressed pride in Meta’s trusted partnership with Vietnam. He highlighted Vietnam's readiness in training, technology adoption, and the development of the semiconductor industry, and expressed Meta's eagerness to collaborate with Vietnam in creating an intellectual playground to foster the growth of the semiconductor and AI industries.

The program targets three groups of enterprises: large enterprises, small and medium-sized enterprises, and innovative startups. Individuals and units with outstanding solutions will have the opportunities to cooperate with leading technology corporations, receive commitment of investment from domestic and international funds and corporations, and connect with the ecosystem of NIC and Meta.

The program targets 3 groups of enterprises: Large enterprises with innovation and creativity; small and medium-sized enterprises with innovation and creativity; and startup enterprises with creativity. Individuals and units with excellent solutions will have the opportunity to introduce their solutions and cooperate with leading technology corporations; receive commitment of investment from domestic and international funds and corporations. In addition, they will be connected to and join the ecosystem of NIC and Meta, along with support packages, capacity building, opportunities for trade promotion, and many other benefits.

It is expected that the research results and innovative works participating in the program will be selected, evaluated, and the results and awards will be announced in October 2024.
